Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: November 2, 2026

  1. Purpose of ListingHop
ListingHop is an independent research publication and privacy toolkit designed for legitimate individuals and small businesses selling legal goods on classifieds and peer-to-peer resale marketplaces. Our tools exist to help sellers:
  • Understand marketplace search ranking rules, photo standards, and moderation workflows.
  • Check which mobile carrier routes and verification methods are supported in each country.
  • Protect their personal mobile phone numbers and primary email addresses from public scraping, spam calls, and courier phishing links when publishing classifieds listings.
  1. Strict Prohibition on Ban Evasion & Account Sales
To protect our users, our telecommunications suppliers, and the broader classifieds ecosystem, ListingHop enforces two absolute red lines:

(a) We Do NOT Assist With Ban Evasion:
ListingHop may not be used to circumvent, evade, or bypass a disciplinary suspension, fraud block, or enforcement ban issued against you by any classifieds or resale marketplace. If a marketplace has suspended your account for violating its rules or defrauding buyers, you are prohibited from using ListingHop numbers, rentals, or inboxes to open replacement accounts.

(b) We Do NOT Sell, Broker, or Transfer Marketplace Accounts:
ListingHop never creates, ages, buys, sells, or transfers user accounts for Kleinanzeigen, Willhaben, Vinted, Leboncoin, Mobile.de, OfferUp, eBay, Craigslist, or any other third-party platform. Users must register and manage their own legitimate accounts directly on the respective marketplace in full compliance with that platform’s terms of service.

  1. Prohibited Activities
You may not use ListingHop, its wallet utilities, or its guides in connection with any of the following:
  • Buyer or Seller Fraud: Posting nonexistent items, counterfeit goods, stolen property, or deceptive listings, or sending external phishing/escrow links to marketplace users.
  • Financial, Banking, or Government Identity Fraud: Attempting to use verification numbers or inboxes for banking, payment processors, cryptocurrency exchanges, government portals, or unlawful identity impersonation.
  • Automated Scraping, Botnets & Bulk Account Farming: Using scripts, headless browsers, or automated tools to mass-allocate numbers, scrape carrier availability, or farm accounts.
  • Number Cycling & Pool Exhaustion: Repeatedly allocating and cancelling phone numbers without attempting legitimate verification in order to lock up carrier SIM inventory.
  • Harassment, Spam, or Illegal Content: Using any ListingHop service to transmit spam, threats, or content that violates local, EU, UK, or US law.
  1. Automated Fair-Use & Rate-Limit Enforcement
To prevent automated abuse and keep carrier SIM pools healthy for genuine sellers, ListingHop enforces strict technical guardrails on all accounts:
  • Concurrency Limits: Maximum of 3 concurrent active SMS verifications, 5 active private email inboxes, and 3 active dedicated number rentals per account.
  • Unused-Number Cooldown Policy: Cancelling or timing out an activation before an SMS arrives is free and returns your $3.00 wallet hold. However, if an account allocates and abandons 7 root activation numbers within a rolling 60-minute window without receiving a single SMS code, the account automatically enters a 60-minute fair-use cooldown before new activation numbers can be requested.
  • Request Rate Limiting: Excessive API polling or rapid purchase bursts are automatically throttled at the account and global level.
  1. Enforcement & Account Termination
We actively monitor security events and abuse patterns. If we determine that an account is violating this Acceptable Use Policy, engaging in ban evasion, or attempting payment or telecom abuse, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate the account, revoke access to wallet utilities, and cooperate with payment processors and law enforcement where required by law. To report suspected abuse of ListingHop services, contact abuse@listinghop.com.
